finally got around to drawing Lola's portrait (she is talked about in chapter 20 of my "Family Tails" novel). I drew this one in a similar way as I did for Kapik's portrait, drawing Lola's very lynx body and showing a "spirit image" of her lynx-human nature.

I drew this using a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil with HB lead, a 6B graphite stick, various blending and shading tools, and a white erasure, on Georgia-Pacific "Everyday Copy & Print" paper.

Such detail, I wish I could draw like that.

I've been drawing ever since I've been old enough to pick up a pencil...never had any formal art training (discounting the 1/2 school year of "art" class back in jr. high--we only spent a day or so drawing, the rest of the time was doing "crafts" stuff like Papier-mâché). Most of it is just having an eye for details, and getting your hand to draw what you're looking at. I think what gets a lot of people is proper perspective and proportions, though anyone can learn that if they're willing to work at it. :)
