From my novel "Family Tails":
Although she wasn't mentioned directly in the first "FT" novel, she will be in "Family Tails - Generation 2" when I get it written. Tapeesa (ta-pe-es-a) is the daughter of Willie (the violin-playing mouse G.E.L.F.) and Miki (the Inupiat woman who was Lupina's first human friend). Tapeesa means "Arctic flower" in Inuit, and she's shown here in a parka out on the tundra near her mother's village on the north slope of Alaska (the Brooks Range is seen in the far distance in the background). Tapeesa in this picture is shown around the age of 18 or so.
I drew this using a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil with HB lead, a 0.1 mm illustration pen using black India ink, colored pencils, a brown ink pen, a white ink pen, a white vinyl eraser, a tissue for smoothing pencil shading, on Georgia-Pacific's "Everyday Copy & Print" paper. Text added to the scanned image using Micro$oft Paint. Originally scanned at 800 dpi and scaled down for here.
