Something I've been ranting about is how the LGBTQ+ community is not just sexual. LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream media usually just goes as far as it can make money, and what makes more money than sex? There are queer people of all body types, not just skinny, white and able-bodied. Ace people are LGBTQ+ because many of us are abused, many of us are forces into therapies and medicines supposed to change us as if we're ill. Many of us struggle with internalized prejudice. Homosexuality isn't just sex, it isn't innapropriate for kids. As my father says: gay people go out for dinner, exchange presents, kiss, hug and talk; they're not only about sex. Accepting trans kids isn't sexualizing them; you're the one who's sexualizing being trans.
My sexuality, my gender, my body is not a commodity that needs to fit a profitable standard!
