Sergio Toratelli was the mascot of an old newsletter I used to publish... and he was the mirror image of Byron. The world did not need two Byrons, so I tweaked his design to differentiate the two characters. Sergio was aged ten years (here he actually looks more like an adult) and given a fang-like shoulder plate held in place with a leather strap and belt. Adorning the strap is a medallion with the kanji "tora" (or tiger) printed on the front.
Why Toratelli? I wanted him to be Italian, and the first thing that came to mind was that Cheers spin-off. No, not the one people remember.
