I don't normally draw centaur-type characters... in fact, the monsters of Greek mythology are generally hit or miss for me. They usually look like the creator took the front half of one animal and slapped it onto the behind of another.
However, drawing a centaur is a pretty big challenge, and it's always good for an artist to work outside his comfort zone. So when Shyanne asked me to draw his character, I took up the gauntlet. I based this drawing on a picture of a fox kit I found in a Google image search, then added the necessary centaurian features.
It turned out all right, considering that this is my first serious attempt at drawing a centaur. Now that I've done this, I can retreat to my comfort zone and get back to drawing the usual stuff!
