And now, the Reikus commission. His character had a bet with Wile E. Coyote to see who could wear the biggest diaper. Technically, Wile E. won... but really, does Wile E. Coyote ever win
This was inspired by the 2000 Looney Tunes short Little Go Beep, which I was advised to use as a reference. It's a good thing too, because my initial sketch was way off. Way, WAY off. Way the hell off. The Road Runner looked like a goose, if that tells you anything.
One thing that's slightly surprising is how feral Wile E. looks even as a pup. I mean, really, check him out!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4egJnXnEYE
Yellow eyes, a wrinkly, flaccid nose... a healthy coyote can't possibly look like that. I've seen injured coyotes in the drink cooler at Quizno's that were in better shape.
One thing that surprises me is how good Little Go Beep is, even if it's achingly familiar. The animation is nice and there are a handful of clever jokes, mostly based on the age of the characters. The Road Runner scoots around in a walker and Wile E. uses several Acme Jr. products, including an elastic toy muscleman named "Stretch Hamstring." Hee hee! It's just what I needed to put a smile on my face after a fairly crappy day.
Anyway, I'm calling this commission over. Just one left to go!
